Kana TV
Kana TV () is an Ethiopian satellite television channel owned by Dubai-based Moby Group. It was co-founded by three Ethiopian entrepreneurs in combination with Moby Media Group and was officially launched on April 4, 2016. Kana TV produces voice-over translation by dubbing foreign content to Amharic. The channel has specialized at serial dramas especially Turkish television dramas, which gain overall exceeding rate in its market share, becoming the most popular television channel in Ethiopia. Kana TV broadcast throughout the region by Nilesat and recently began its transmission on Ethiosat. The channel operates solely in the Amharic language with part of the content being locally produced and the other half being dubbed content. The source of its popularity is the multitude dubbed foreign TV dramas it broadcasts. ''Kara Para Aşk'' (English: ''Black Money Love'') is a Turkish television series broadcast on ATV screens on Wednesday evenings. The leading cast are Tuba Büyüküstün, Engin Akyürek and Erkan Can. ''Kuzey Güney'' () is a Turkish television drama series. The scenarists are Ece Yörenç and Melek Gençoğlu. In statistics, stratified sampling is a method of sampling from a population which can be partitioned into subpopulations. In statistical surveys, when subpopulations within an overall population vary, it could be advantageous to sample each subpopulation (stratum) independently. Stratification is the process of dividing members of the population into homogeneous subgroups before sampling. The strata should define a partition of the population. Television In Ethiopia
Television in Ethiopia was introduced in 1962 with the government owned ETV. Color television started in 1979 on an experiment basis with regular transmissions starting in 1984 to commemorate the founding of Workers' Party of Ethiopia (WPE). Ethiopia got its first private television broadcaster in 2008 with EBS TV, a US based satellite TV channel mostly focused on infotainment. Until very recently there was only one private station with most of the stations being state owned. However, emphasis on liberalization of the TV market eventually led to a wave of privately owned stations coming about recent years.
