Kampong Sungai Besar () or commonly known as Sungai Besar, is a village in the east of Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, near the mouth of the Brunei River with the Brunei Bay. The population was 2,039 in 2016. The village is the location of an end of Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge, the bridge which connects mainland Brunei with the Temburong District exclave. A village ( or ) is the third and lowest administrative division of Brunei. It is headed by a village head (). Several villages are grouped together to form a mukim. Muara Town ( ms, Pekan Muara) or simply Muara is a port town in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, about from the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The population of the town proper was 2,102 in 2016. It is home to Muara Port, the country's primary deep water port. Location Muara can be found in Mukim Serasa and is located on the easternmost tip of West Brunei.
