Kampala Capital City Authority FC
Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (Abbreviated as KCCA FC) and also known as Kampala City , is a Ugandan football club based in Kampala, the largest city and capital of Uganda. Kampala City Council was rebranded to Kampala Capital City Authority and the club title has been changed accordingly. Many sources and news reports still refer to the club's traditional title, Kampala City Council Football Club, abbreviated as KCC. History The club was founded on 12 April 1963 by Samuel Wamala, who was head of the Council's Sewage Works section in the City Engineering Department. The club initially was dominated by casual workers in the sewage section but subsequently expanded to cover all departments within Kampala City Council. Ugandan Premier League
The Ugandan Premier League, also known as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations. The league was previously known as the Uganda Super League but changed in the 2014–15 season after new management taking over. The league's roots date back to 1968 when the National First Division League was established. Godfrey Kateregga (5 May 1960 – 13 March 1999) was a football striker who played for Uganda national football team. Career Born in Mulago (a suburb of Kampala), Kateregga played club football for Tobacco FC, Kampala City Council FC, SC Villa and Express FC. 1982 Uganda Cup
1982 Uganda Cup was the eighth season of the main Ugandan football Cup. Overview The competition has also been known as the Kakungulu Cup and was won by Kampala City Council FC who were awarded the tie after Nile Breweries FC left the field of play after 75 minutes. KCC were leading Nile 1-0 when the final was abandoned. The Nile players walked off the pitch in protest to a foul committed by KCC’s John Latigo on Moses Musoke. The Nile players wanted the referee to send off Latigo, but the referee gave Latigo a caution. This annoyed Nile players and they walked off the pitch leaving KCC to be awarded the trophy.
