Kamillah Hanks
Kamillah M. Hanks (born September 4, 1972) is an American politician and New York City Council Member for the 49th District on the North Shore of Staten Island. District 49 includes the neighborhoods of Arlington, Clifton, Clove Lakes, Concord, Elm Park, Graniteville, Livingston, Mariners Harbor New Brighton Port Richmond, Randall Manor, Rosebank, St. George, Snug Harbor, Silver Lake, Stapleton, Sunnyside, West Brighton and Tompkinsville. Life and career Kamillah Hanks is a lifelong resident of Staten Island and a mother of four. Hanks attended Fiorello H. The New York City Council is the lawmaking body of New York City. It has 51 members from 51 council districts throughout the five Borough (New York City), boroughs. James Oddo
James Steven Oddo (born January 12, 1966) is an American attorney and politician who served as the Borough President of Staten Island from 2014 to 2021. Oddo had previously served as a member of the New York City Council, representing the 50th district from 1999 to 2013. Early life and education Oddo was born on Staten Island as the youngest of four sons in a family of city employees. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School. Tappen Park
Tappen Park is a small park and square in the Stapleton neighborhood on the East Shore of Staten Island, New York City. It is bounded by Bay Street on the east, Water Street on the north, and Canal Street on the south and west. It is named for First World War veteran James Tappen. The land that the park is sited on was first purchased by the government in 1867, and it was acquired by the City of New York in 1898. In 2008, the east end of the park facing Bay Street underwent improvements to add a small fountain amidst a round court, as well as new pathways. The renovated park is now reopened.
