Kamiakin High School
Kamiakin High School is a public high school in Kennewick, Washington, the second of three comprehensive high schools in the Kennewick School District. Kamiakin opened in the fall of 1970 and serves the district's northwest portion. The school colors are scarlet and gold and the mascot is the Braves. Overview The school is named after Kamiakin, a chief of the Yakama Tribe in the 19th century and a leader of the American Indian side in the Yakama War. Kamiakin went through a remodel from 2002–04 that added 15 new classrooms, a new gymnasium and converted the existing lecture hall into an auditorium capable of seating 600 people as well as updating safety to meet standards throughout the campus. Kennewick () is a city in Benton County, Washington, Benton County in the U.S. state of Washington (state), Washington. Hanford High School
Hanford High School is a public high school located on the northern edge of Richland, Washington. It is part of the Richland School District. The school's mascot is the falcon, and its school colors are purple and gold. The high school, built in 1972, was originally part of a K-12 complex, which included an elementary and junior high (later a middle school). Richland High School (Washington)
Richland High School is a public secondary school in the northwest United States, located in Richland, Washington. The school was founded as Columbia High School in 1910 to serve the educational needs of the small town of Richland. The building was replaced with a much larger structure by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1946 as the development of the neighboring Hanford Engineering Works brought an influx of employees to the region to support the war effort. Columbia High was renamed Richland High School as the small farming community continued to develop as weapons production climbed during the Cold War and the town was designated as a first class city in 1958. Pasco High School is a 9-12 public high school in Pasco, Washington. It was the only High School in Pasco until 2009 when Chiawana High School, in West Pasco, opened its doors. In 2006, the Pasco voters approved a $90 million+ bond to construct a new high school on Argent and Road 84 to ease the overcrowding of Pasco High. The new Chiawana High School, opened its doors in the fall of 2009 along Argent Road. During the time of construction, Pasco High turned Captain Gray STEM Elementary School, located at 1102 N.10th Avenue into an annex, where a majority of freshman classes were held. Chiawana High School
Chiawana High School is a four-year public secondary school in Pasco, Washington, the second traditional high school of Pasco School District #1. Opened in 2009 with 1600 students in grades 9, 10, and 11, CHS graduated its first senior class in 2011. The school colors are blue and silver and the mascot is a riverhawk. Running Start is a dual credit enrollment program in Washington, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Montana and Illinois which allows high school juniors and seniors to attend college courses numbered 100 or above, while completing high school. It is similar to other dual enrollment programs common at public and private colleges and universities in other states like Concurrent Enrollment or Dual Enrollment.
