Kambhampati Hari Babu
Kambhampati Hari Babu is an Indian politician and the current Governor of Mizoram and he is the first being person from divided Andhra Pradesh and first Telugu person serving as Governor of Mizoram in North East India. He was a member of parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Visakhapatnam (Lok Sabha constituency), Andhra Pradesh. He won the 2014 Indian general election being a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He is former state unit President of Bharatiya Janata Party for Andhra Pradesh. Early life Hari Babu was born in Prakasam district, Thimmasamudram. He moved to Visakhapatnam to pursue his B.Tech. in electronics and communication engineering in Andhra University. He completed his masters as well as Ph D from the same university. He later worked in Andhra University and voluntarily retired while working as Associate Professor in 1993 and later became active in politics. The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is the civic body that governs the city of Visakhapatnam, largest city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. 2014 Indian General Elections
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 elections. Around 23.1 million or 2.7% of the total eligible voters were aged 18–19 years. A total of 8,251 candidates contested the 543 elected Lok Sabha seats. The average election turnout over all nine phases was around 66.40%, the highest ever in the history of Indian general elections. Jayaprakash Narayan (; 11 October 1902 – 8 October 1979), popularly referred to as JP or ''Lok Nayak'' (Hindi for "People's leader"), was an Indian independence activist, theorist, socialist and political leader. Sardar Gouthu Latchanna (16 August 1909 – 19 April 2006) was a veteran freedom fighter from India. Personal life Dr. Gouthu Latchanna was born in Baruva village of the Sompeta mandal, Srikakulam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh on 16 August 1909. He was the eighth child of Chittaiah, a Goud toddy tapper, and Rajamma. He married Yashodha Devi, who died in 1996.
