Kamalolmolk (film)
''Kamalolmolk'' ( fa, کمالالملک) is a 1984 Iranian film written and directed by Ali Hatami about the life and work of famous Iranian painter Mohammad Ghaffari, better known as Kamal-ol-molk. The movie focuses greatly on the painter's relationship with the various monarchs of Iran. The cast includes some of the most famous Iranian actors including Jamshid Mashayekhi as the painter himself, and Ezzatollah Entezami as Nasser al-Din Shah. This was also the film debut of the actress Leila Hatami. Ali Hatami
Ali Hatami ( fa, علی حاتمی , August 14, 1944 – December 7, 1996) was an Iranian film director, screenwriter, art director, and costume designer. The ''Tehran Times'' dubbed him "the Hafez of Iranian cinema due to the poetic ambiance of his movies." Career Hatami graduated from the College of Dramatic Arts in Iran and subsequently began his professional career as a writer. He made his feature film directorial debut with ''Hasan Kachal'' (''Hasan the Bald'') in 1970, which was the first Iranian musical film. Nasser Al-Din Shah
Naser al-Din Shah Qajar ( fa, ناصرالدینشاه قاجار; 16 July 1831 – 1 May 1896) was the fourth Shah of Qajar Iran from 5 September 1848 to 1 May 1896 when he was assassinated. He was the son of Mohammad Shah Qajar and Malek Jahan Khanom and the third longest reigning monarch in Iranian history after Shapur II of the Sassanid dynasty and Tahmasp I of the Safavid dynasty. Jahangir Forouhar (; May 24, 1916 – November 6, 1997) was an Iranian actor. Biography Forouhar was born in 1916 in the city of Isfahan. His father was Mustafa Khan Davam al-Saltanah. His grandfather was Mirza Mohammad Ali Khan Ghavam al-Dawlah and he was descendant of Mirza Abbas Khan Ghavam al-Dawlah. Parviz Poorhosseini ( fa, پرویز پورحسینی, 11 September 1941 – 27 November 2020) was an Iranian film, theater and television actor. Biography He was best known for his roles in ''Bashu, the Little Stranger'' (1989), '' The Fifth Season'' (1997) and ''Saint Mary'' (1997). Other well-known films he had performed in include ''The Man Who Became a Mouse'' (1985), ''The Night it Happened'' (1988), ''Angel Day'' (1993), and ''Leila's Sleep'' (2007). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in performance arts from Tehran University's Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1961, with director Hamid Samandarian, he and other artists formed an acting troupe named Pasargad. Mohamad-Ali Keshavarz ( fa, محمدعلی کشاورز; April 15, 1930 – June 14, 2020) was an Iranian cinema and theater actor. Early life He was born on 15 April 1930 in Sichan (neighbourhood), Isfahan. He was the second child of the family of Keshavarz, an artificer family. Career Mohammad Ali Keshavarz graduated from Art School for Acting. He started stage acting in 1960 and began film acting with ''Night of Hunchback'' (1964, Farrokh Ghaffari). He was one of the most experienced and prominent actors of Iranian cinema. Leila Hatami ( fa, لیلا حاتمی; born October 1, 1972) is an Iranian actress. She has received numerous accolades, including a Silver Bear, two Crystal Simorghs, two Hafez Awards, two Iran Cinema Celebration Awards and three Iran's Film Critics and Writers Association Awards. Ezzatolah Entezami ( fa, عزتالله انتظامی, 21 June 1924 – 17 August 2018) was an Iranian actor. Career Ezzatolah Entezami started his career on stage in 1941 and graduated from theatre and cinema school in Hanover, Germany in 1958. He has been acting in movies since 1969. Mohammad Ghaffari ( fa, محمد غفاری), better known as Kamal-ol-Molk (), was an Iranian painter and part of the Ghaffari family in Kashan. Biography Mohammad Ghaffari, better known as Kamal-ol-Molk, born in Kashan in 1848, to a family with a strong artistic tradition, tracing their origins back to notable painters during the reign of Nader Shah. Kamal's uncle, Mirza Abolhassan Khan Ghaffari, known as Sanee-ol-Molk, a celebrated 19th-century painter, was notable for his watercolor portraiture.
