2006 West Bengal State Assembly Election
Assembly elections were held in Indian state of West Bengal to elect the members of West Bengal Legislative Assembly . The election took place in five phases between 17 April and 8 May. The votes were counted three days later on May 11, 2006, and, thanks to the electronic voting machines, all the results were out by the end of the day. The Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Front won the election with an overwhelming majority. Ramendra Nath Biswas is an Indian politician, former Member of Legislative Assembly From Kalyani (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Nadia in the Indian state of West Bengal. Political career Biswas hails from Sreerampur, Chakdaha, Nadia district. His father's name is Nagendra Nath Biswas. He passed MA from Calcutta University in 1969 and worked as a teacher. 2011 West Bengal State Assembly Election
Assembly election was held in Indian state of West Bengal in 2011 to elect the members of West Bengal Legislative Assembly as the term of the incumbent government was about to expire naturally. It was held in six phases between 18 April and 10 May 2011 for all the 294 seats of the ''Vidhan Sabha''. The Trinamool Congress won an absolute majority of seats. Ambika Roy is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. In May 2021, he was elected as the member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Kalyani. Career Roy hails from Nutan Birpur, Nakashipara, Nadia district. His is son of late Anil Chandra Roy and grandson of late Amulya Chandra Roy. He is junior of all 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
