Ecotone (formerly Royal Wessanen) is a multinational food company with a focus on organic, founded in the Netherlands and headquartered in France since November 2020. It has operations in Europe and North America. Worldwide it had approx 2,000 employees at the end of 2011, a year in which it reported a revenue of €706 million. History 'Wessanen en Laan' was founded in 1765 in Wormerveer by Adriaan Wessanen and Dirk Laan to trade in ‘Mustard, Canary and other seeds’. The company flourished as new uses were found for all sorts of seeds. It was helped by the contemporary popularity for keeping caged birds, particularly canaries. Puffed Rice Cakes
The puffed rice cake is a flat hard food made with puffed rice. Typically, it is eaten as a snack or used as a base for other ingredients. While it is low in nutrients, it is generally considered to be a low-calorie food, and is often consumed among dieters as a substitute for higher-calorie breads or other food items. Some rice cakes are flavored. Common flavorings include chicken, sweet chili, cheese, butter, chocolate, caramel, salt and vinegar, or apple cinnamon. Most rice cakes are round, though square varieties are available. Wor Bar Traditionally, ''Wor Bar'' (''Guoba'' in Mandarin, translates to "pot's burnt") refers to the slightly browned rice that is stuck to the bottom of clay pots, which, after caramelization, results in the rice being formed into a single piece and giving it a slightly burned flavor. It may be brewed into tea, or served as part of a main meal by pouring savory meat sauces over the heated puffed rice cake. File:Quaker-Popped-Rice-Snacks.jpg, Ame ...

Food Manufacturers Of The United Kingdom
Food is any substance consumed by an organism for nutritional support. Food is usually of plant, animal, or fungal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells to provide energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth. Different species of animals have different feeding behaviours that satisfy the needs of their unique metabolisms, often evolved to fill a specific ecological niche within specific geographical contexts. Omnivorous humans are highly adaptable and have adapted to obtain food in many different ecosystems. The majority of the food energy required is supplied by the industrial food industry, which produces food with intensive agriculture and distributes it through complex food processing and food distribution systems. This system of conventional agriculture relies heavily on fossil fuels, which means that the food and agricultural ...
