Leena Katriina Lehtolainen (born 11 March 1964) is a Finnish crime novelist, best known for her series of novels about the policewoman Maria Kallio. Lehtolainen was born in Vesanto, Northern Savonia. Her first novel was released when she was only 12 years old. She studied literature in Helsinki until 1995 and wrote crime novels from 1993 on. Since about 2007 she has written other genres of books. Her works have been translated into various languages: Spanish, Dutch, Chinese, Lithuanian, Polish, French, Swedish, German, Estonian, Czech. Väinö Kallio (17 April 1897, Pihlajavesi – 9 February 1938) was a Socialist Workers' Party of Finland politician. He supported the Reds in the Finnish Civil War of 1918. He served in the Parliament of Finland from 1929 to 1930. In 1933, he was exiled by the Government of Finland to the Soviet Union. Toni Kari Mikael Kallio (born 9 August 1978) is a Finnish association football, football coach and a former player. He is the manager of Ilves (football), Ilves in Veikkausliiga. His preferred position as a player was left back, but he also operated as centre back and used to play as Forward (association football), forward when he joined HJK Helsinki, HJK. Tomi Kristian Kallio (born 27 January 1977) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey right winger who last played for HC TPS in the Finnish Liiga. After retiring from TPS in 2018, Kallio remained with the team and assumed the role of director of European scouting. Playing career Kallio was drafted 81st overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft and began his professional career with TPS of the SM-liiga and spent five seasons there, winning the championship trophy in 1999 and 2000. He then moved to the National Hockey League with the Atlanta Thrashers who claimed him from Colorado in the 1999 NHL Expansion Draft. Rudolph Kallio (December 14, 1892 – April 6, 1979) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for two different teams between and . Listed at 5' 10", 160 lb., Kallio batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Portland, Oregon. Kallio entered the majors in 1918 with the Detroit Tigers, playing for them two years before joining the Boston Red Sox. In his rookie season, he showed promise as a solid starter for Detroit, going 8-14 with 70 strikeouts and a 3.62 ERA in 181⅓ innings pitched. Mika Kallio (born 8 November 1982) is a Finnish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, currently serving as the lead test and development rider for the Red Bull KTM team in MotoGP. He debuted in the 125cc World Championship with the Finnish rookie team Ajo Motorsport in the 2001 German Grand Prix and was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" with the team in 2002. Elin Kallio (23 April 1859 Helsinki, Finland – 25 December 1927, Helsinki) was a celebrated pioneering Finnish gymnast. She is considered the founder of the women’s gymnastic movement in Finland.
