Kalle Kossila
Kalle Kossila (born 14 April 1993) is a French-born Finnish professional ice hockey centre. He is currently playing for Växjö Lakers in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Kossila spent time in North America as part of the Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs organizations. His biological parents are Finnish. Playing career Kossila first played junior hockey in his homeland of Finland, with professional clubs, Jokerit and Espoo Blues before moving to North America to play collegiate hockey on a scholarship with St. Cloud State University of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. With strong offensive instincts and top-level speed, Kossila proved as a scoring forward at the collegiate level with the Huskies. His scholastic ability within college was noted at the conclusion of the 2014–15 season as he was awarded the NCHC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Växjö Lakers
Växjö Lakers Hockey Club (often referred to as the Växjö Lakers or VLH) is a Swedish ice hockey club from Växjö in Sweden. The club plays in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL; formerly Elitserien), the top-level league of Swedish ice hockey, and made its debut there in 2011–12. They play their home games in the Vida Arena. The club has won the Swedish national championship three times, in 2015, 2018 and 2021. History The club was founded in 1997, after Växjö HC went bankrupt that year. Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers are a professional ice hockey team based in Edmonton. The Oilers compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. They play their home games at Rogers Place, which opened in 2016. Their current head coach Jay Woodcroft was hired on February 11, 2022, and Ken Holland was named as the general manager on May 7, 2019. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal).
