Kallambella
Kallambella is a village in Tumkur district of Karnataka state. Situated at a distance of 36 km north of Tumkur, off the National Highway 48. A large tank, supposed to have been built by 'Holampayya', is the main attraction of the place. This tank acts as a reservoir for the Hemavati river waters, on their way to Sira tank. Tumakuru District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka in India. It is the third largest district in Karnataka by land area with an area of 10,598 km2, and fourth largest by Population. It is a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Bengaluru, the state capital. The district is known for the production of coconuts and is also called as 'Kalpataru Nadu'. Tumkur
Tumkur, officially renamed as Tumakuru, is a city located in the southern part of Indian state of Karnataka. Tumkur is situated at a distance of northwest of Bangalore, the state capital along NH 48 and NH 73. It is the headquarters of the Tumkur district. It is located at an altitude of 835 m (2739.5 ft). Tumkur hosts India's first mega food park, a project of the ministry of food processing. The India Food Park was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2014. National Highway 48 (NH 48) is a National Highway of India that starts at Delhi and terminates at Chennai traversing through seven states of India. It has a total length of 2807 km (1744 miles). Hemavati River
The Hemavati is a river in southern India near Karnataka and an important tributary of the Kaveri. Origin and course The source of the Hemavati River lies in the Western Ghats(Javali village) at an elevation of about . Located in Mudigere taluk of Chikmagalur District in the state of Karnataka, it flows through Hassan District where it is joined by its chief tributary the Yagachi River and then into Mandya district before joining the Kaveri near Krishnarajasagara.
