Kaljani River ( bn, কালজানী) is a tributary of Torsha river, originated (26°50'24"N 89°26'28"E) in Bhutan at the foothills of the Himalayas and it flows from north to south via Bhutan & India and confluences (26°16'25"N 89°35'01"E) with Torsha river that again confluences with Brahmaputra river which confluences with Padma river that merges with Bay of Bengal. Phuntsholing
Phuntsholing, also spelled as Phuentsholing ( dz, ཕུན་ཚོགས་གླིང་), is a border town in southern Bhutan and is the administrative seat of Chukha District. The town occupies parts of both Phuentsholing Gewog and Sampheling Gewog. Phuentsholing adjoins the Indian town of Jaigaon, and cross-border trade has resulted in a thriving local economy. The town had the headquarters of the Bank of Bhutan previously but shifted to Thimphu. In 2017, Phuentsholing had a population of 27,658. According to Bangladesh Water development board (BWDB) about 230 rivers currently flow in Bangladesh (during summer and winter), although the number stated are ambiguous in some sources. As stated by a publication called ''বাংলাদেশের নদ-নদী'' by BWDB (Bangladesh Water development board), 310 rivers flow in the summer although they republished another study in 6 volumes where stated 405 rivers. Jaigaon is a census town in Alipurduar subdivision under Kalchini Block of Alipurduar district in the state of West Bengal, India.
