Kalinda Howarth
Kalinda Howarth (born 2 August 1999) is an Australian rules footballer with the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She was previously listed at the Brisbane Lions in 2018 and played for the Gold Coast Suns from 2020 to 2023. Howarth is a dual Gold Coast leading goalkicker and was named in the 2020 AFL Women's All-Australian team. Early life Howarth was born on the Gold Coast into a family of Indigenous Australian (Yuin) descent and attended Helensvale State High School throughout her upbringing. She grew up a passionate rugby league supporter and played touch rugby, soccer and basketball throughout her childhood. 2020 AFL Women's Season
The 2020 AFL Women's season was the fourth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured fourteen clubs, with four new teams joining the league: , , and . The season ran from 7 February until 22 March. Bond University AFL, nicknamed as the ''Bull Sharks'', is a Gold Coast based Australian rules football club operating out of Bond University. The club currently competes in the Queensland Football Association Division Two and the Queensland Women's Football League competitions. The club is currently one of two universities that supply teams to AFL Queensland, the other being University of Queensland. History The Bond University Football Club was formed in 2011 and entered the AFLQ Division 3 Central league for their inaugural season. Lance Franklin (born 30 January 1987), also known as Buddy Franklin, is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). 2017 AFL Women's Under 18 Championships
The 2017 NAB AFL Women's Under-18 Championships was played between May and July 2017, with six teams competing and with a further three playing in a two-match round-robin series as a de facto Division 2. An Allies side (made up of players from the division two competition) was introduced as a division one team. This was designed to give the best prospects from those regions the opportunity to play at a national level in the division one carnival. Thus, division one was made up of six teams—Allies, NSW/ACT, Queensland, Vic Country, Vic Metro and Western Australia—playing each other across five rounds. The Gold Coast Suns is a professional Australian rules football club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club is based on Queensland's Gold Coast in the suburb of Carrara.
