Kaleb Eleby
Kaleb Eleby (born March 13, 2000) is an American football quarterback for the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL. He played college football at Western Michigan. High school career Eleby attended Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, Missouri. During his career he had 9,735 passing yards and 95 touchdowns. He committed to the Western Michigan University to play college football. College career Eleby entered his first year at Western Michigan in 2018 as a backup to Jon Wassink, before starting the final five games due to Wassink being injured. For the season he completed 92 of 147 passes for 1,092 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. After redshirting 2019, he took over as the full-time starter in 2020. He finished the season completing 98 of 152 passes for 1,699 yards, 18 touchdowns and two interceptions. Eleby returned as the starter in 2021. Western Michigan Broncos Football
The Western Michigan Broncos football program represents Western Michigan University in the Football Bowl Subdivision of Division I and the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Western Michigan has competed in football since 1906, when they played three games in their inaugural season. In 1927, WMU joined four other schools ( Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, and Wayne State University) to form the Michigan Collegiate Conference. Western Michigan then moved to its present conference in 1948. Prior to 1939, Western Michigan's athletic teams were known as the Hilltoppers. 2023 XFL Draft
The 2023 XFL Draft, is the player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL, and the second draft in that league's history following the 2020 draft. The draft was held on November 15–17, 2022, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL 2023 draft pool consists of 1,700 players that are eligible. Of those, 528 players will advance to the preseason rosters. It will follow a "snake" format, with each position phase following a random order set prior to the draft, and that order reversing between odd and even rounds of the phase. Jon Wassink (born February 4, 1997) is a former American football quarterback who played college football at Western Michigan. High school career Wassink attended South Christian High School in Byron Center, Michigan where he played basketball and football. As a football player, he played quarterback, defensive back, punter, and kicker. As a high school senior, he led his team to a MHSAA Division 4 state title, throwing for 179 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for another 122 and a touchdown, while also kicking two extra points and scoring a two-point conversion. The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team.
