Kalanta ( en, Carols) is an EP by popular Greek artist Despina Vandi. It was released on 22 November 2006 by Heaven Music. The album went double platinum. ''Kalanta'' was the best selling CD single for 2006 by a female artist. Track listing Singles "Kalanta" :"Kalanta" was the first single released from the EP and a music video was made. "Mehri Mai Mina" :"Mehri Mai Mina" was the second single release from the EP and a music video was made. Despina Vandi
Despina Vandi - ΣΤΑ 'ΔΩΣΑ ΟΛΑΑ ( el, Δέσποινα Βανδή, ), born as Despina Malea () on 22 July 1969, is a Greek singer. Born in Tübingen near Stuttgart, Germany, Vandi's family returned to Kavala, Greece when she was six years old. After moving to Athens in the early 1990s, Vandi signed with Minos EMI and released two albums ''Gela Mou'' (1994) and ''Esena Perimeno'' (1996). She then began an exclusive collaboration with songwriter/music producer, producer Phoebus (songwriter), Phoebus and struck commercial success with her third album, ''Deka Endoles'' (1997), followed by the multi-platinum ''Profities'' (1999), as she established a more "pop" stage performance style and image, becoming one of the most prominent artists of the laïko/pop genre. Heaven Music is an independent record label in Athens, Greece, founded in 2001 by ANT1 Group. It is known for signing new and young artists. Leon Zervos is a mastering engineer who has worked with many world-renowned artists, including Pink, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Beastie Boys, and Willie Nelson. Life and career Leon Zervos began his mastering career in 1982 at the then EMI Studios 301 in Sydney, where he worked with the likes of INXS, Crowded House, and Midnight Oil.
