Kaja Draksler
Kaja Draksler (born 6 February 1987 in Kranj, Slovenia) is a Slovenian pianist and composer. Biography Draksler started playing the piano at the age of 4, and graduated from the Ljubljana High School of Music in 2005. She graduated at the Conservatory in Groningen where she studied jazz piano in 2009. Until 2013, she studied composition under Richard Ayres at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She wrote her final thesis on the structures within improvisation of the American pianist Cecil Taylor. She occasionally stayed in New York to have lessons with Jason Moran and Vijay Iyer. While studying in Groningen, Draksler performed with her ''Acropolis Quintet''. About the same time, she co-founded the ''BadBooshBand''. Her solo performance at the Ljubljana Jazz Festival was released on CD in 2013. She performed with Susana Santos Silva at the Moers Festival. Moers Festival
The Moers Festival is an annual international music festival in Moers, Germany. The festival has changed from concentrating on free jazz to including world and pop music, though it still invites many avant-garde jazz musicians. Performers at Moers include Lester Bowie, Fred Frith, Jan Garbarek, Herbie Hancock, Abdullah Ibrahim, David Murray, Sun Ra, Archie Shepp, and Cecil Taylor. Petter Eldh
Frans Petter Eldh (born 19 September 1983 in Gothenburg) is a Swedish jazz bass player and composer, who predominantly has worked first in Denmark, and since 2009 he has lived in Berlin. Biography Eldh was raised in a family of artists. At the age of eight he started to play the guitar and bought his first hip-hop album when nine. Three years later he substituted the guitar for the double bass. When he turned thirteen under the influence of the music of Charlie Parker, he got into Jazz. He received his first musical training between 1999 and 2002 at the Sinclair Music School in Uddevalla. He continued his studies from 2002 to 2004 at the Jazz School of Skurup, in order to go to Copenhagen, where the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark. Eve Risser (born 1982) is a French jazz and improvised music performer, composer and arranger. She mostly plays piano and prepared piano, but also plays harpsichord and other instruments. A volunteer staff publishes news, album reviews, articles, videos, and listings of concerts and other events having to do with jazz. Ricci maintains a related site, ''Jazz Near You'', about local concerts and events. The Italian Instabile Orchestra (IIO) is an eighteen piece experimental big band that performs orchestral jazz and avant-garde jazz.
