Kai-Tokiwa Station
is a railway station on the Minobu Line of Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) located in the town of Minobu, Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Lines Kai-Tokiwa Station is served by the Minobu Line and is located 54.1 kilometers from the southern terminus of the line at Fuji Station. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. is an interchange railway station in the city of Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tōkai).
