Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha
The guru peetha was established as a spiritual and cultural center for Kuruba Gowdas in the state of Karnataka, India. The Mahasamsthana has been presided over by Shri Beerendra Keshava Tarakananda Puri Swamiji for thirteen years. He wanted to start schools for children of the rural Halumatha community in Kaginele and beyond. Kuruba Gowdas
Kuruba is a Hindu caste native to the Indian state of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They are the third-largest caste group in Karnataka.
