The Kaeng Krachan Dam ( th, เขื่อนแก่งกระจาน, , ) is a multi-purpose hydroelectric dam in the Kaeng Krachan District of Phetchaburi Province, Thailand. The dam impounds the Phetchaburi River. It was officially opened in 1966 by King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. Description Kaeng Krachan Dam is an earth dam. It is long and high. Its reservoir has a maximum storage capacity of with a catchment area of . Queen Sirikit ( th, สิริกิติ์; ; ); born ''Mom Rajawongse'' Sirikit Kitiyakara ( th, สิริกิติ์ กิติยากร; ; 12 August 1932) is the queen mother of Thailand.
