Eiko Kadono
, real name , born January 1, 1935, is a Japanese author of children's literature, picture books, non-fiction, and essays in Shōwa period, Shōwa and Heisei period in Japan. Her most famous work ''Kiki's Delivery Service (novel), Kiki's Delivery Service'', released in 1985, was made into an anime film by Hayao Miyazaki, and spawned a series of sequel novels. In 2018, she won the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Currently, she serves as a guest professor at the Nihon Fukushi University in Aichi Prefecture. Biography Kadono was born in Tokyo, Japan. As a child during the World War II, she was evacuated to North Japan. She attended and graduated with a degree in English literature from Waseda University. After graduation in 1960 at the age of 25, she emigrated to Brazil where she spent two years. ''Summer Snow'' is a Japanese television drama that was broadcast from July 7 to September 15, 2000, on TBS. It is a love story between a young man who has been forced to grow up too quickly, and a young woman with an activity-restricting ailment. The title refers to marine snow, which the two promise to see together one day. The series comprises eleven episodes. Kōhei Kadono
is a Japanese author, best known for the ''Boogiepop'' series which has received multiple manga adaptations, a live action film, and two television anime. Biography Born on December 12, 1968, Kadono graduated from Hosei University. In 1998, his light novel '' Boogiepop and Others'' won the Fourth Dengeki Novel Prize and was later adapted into a manga that was illustrated by Kouji Ogata. An anime spin-off of the Boogiepop series, '' Boogiepop Phantom'', aired in 2000 animated by Madhouse and an anime adaptation of the series was released in 2019 by the same studio. Yuki Kadono
is a Japanese snowboarder who competes in the slopestyle event. Born in Miki, Hyōgo, Japan, he competed for Japan at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, qualifying for the final of the slopestyle event and finishing 8th overall. Kadono won the Nokia Air and Style in Beijing in 2012, at the age of 16, making him one of the youngest to win the event besides Shaun White. He was the 2012–13 overall World Cup Champion in the slopestyle event. Kadono placed 3rd in Big Air at the 2015 X Games in Aspen and first at the 2016 X games in Oslo. He won the 2015 Burton US Open Slopestyle with the first ever Back-To-Back Triple Cork 1620s.
