The Kutchi people ( Kutchi and Gujarati: ڪڇّی; કચ્છી) traditionally hail from the Kutch district of the western Indian state of Gujarat and the Sindh region of Pakistan. Hideo Kachi (可知 日出男) (born December 17, 1953 in Nakano, Tokyo) is a Japanese musician. He is a player of various woodwind instruments, such as the flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, ocarina, recorder (musical instrument), and others. He is also a singer, and has written his own lyrics. He graduated from Waseda University in the first department of literature. His musical origins came from his participation in the band Geinoh Yamashirogumi, followed by his leadership of "Art Ensemble Green." He has participated in fourteen recitals so far. Career He apprenticed himself to Tadashi Yamamoto (Bassoonist), Tadashi Yamamoto, Masato Tanaka, Milan Turković (bassoon), and Tamami Koyake (jazz flute). Thali Dialect
Thaḷī is a Lahnda dialect spoken in parts of the Pakistani provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It has a widespread area, starting from Tank to Muzzafargarh on the eastern end of the Indus River and from Bannu running down to D I khan at the western end of the Indus River. It is classified as a northern dialect of Saraiki, although it has also been described as transitional between Shahpuri and the central Saraiki Multani dialect. Its name derives from the Thal Desert. Thali is one of several Saraiki dialects that are commonly known as ''Jaṭkī''. It is spoken in Khushab District and parts of the former Shahpur District where it is known as ''Thaḷī''. Its local name in Jhang District is ''Thaḷochṛī''. The Kachhi are a Hindu caste of vegetable cultivators found in the regions of Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in India. Myths of origin The Kachhi caste form a part of a wider community that claims a common descent. This community, known as the Kushwaha. nowadays generally claim descent from Kusha, a son of the mythological Rama, who is considered to be an avatar of Vishnu. This enables their claim to be of the Suryavansh - or Solar - dynasty but it is a myth of origin developed in the twentieth century. Kutchi (; કચ્છી, , ڪڇّی) or Kachhi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Kutch region of India and Sindh region of Pakistan. The name of the language is also transliterated as Katchi, Kutchhi, Kachchi, Kachchhi, Kachhi or Cutchi. Influences from other languages Kutchi is a dialect of Sindhi, with which it is mutually intelligible. Over time, it has borrowed vocabulary from Gujarati.
