Kaarina Goldberg
Kaarina Goldberg (born January 28, 1956) is a Finnish author and journalist who lives in Vienna. She is best known for her children's books ''Petokylän Ilona Ilves'', ''Rämäpäinen robotti'' and her comic strip ''Senni ja Safira'' in the Finnish newspaper ''Eläkeläiset''. She is also a columnist for the Finnish gastronomy magazine ''Teema Nova''. In August 2010, her ''Senni ja Safira''-comic strips were released as a book by the Finnish publishing house Karisto, representing the first comic-related publication in the company's history so far. Karisto
Karisto is an area in the city of Lahti, Finland. Karisto used to belong to the municipality of Nastola until 1956. Karisto as an area used to mean the hilltop of Karisto and also the coast side, but later on, Karisto became bigger and it spread to the area called Järvenpää. Karisto has an elementary school that has approximately 400 students, a public kindergarten with approximately 150 places, and also a private kindergarten called Touhula Karisto. History Karisto has had settlers since the late 1700s. After the Second World War during the late 1940s and early 1950s, buildings started to be built from the hilltop to the coastline. Coastline plots were split into long and narrow shapes so that there would be as many coastline plots as possible. The whole coastline was uninhabited and all the areas were cleared by hand. Irina Krohn
Irina Kaarina Krohn (born July 10, 1962) is a Finnish politician and a former member of Finnish Parliament, representing the Green League. She is also member of the city council of Helsinki and has held positions in various other organisations. She was first elected to the parliament in 1995. She was a substitute member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and a member of the Sub-Committees on Sustainable Development and Population.
