Kaapa
''Kaapa'' is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Shaji Kailas, written by G. R. Indugopan and produced by Fefka Writers Union, Theatre of Dreams and Saregama India. It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role with Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali and Anna Ben. Dawn Vincent and Jakes Bejoy composed the original songs and film score. ''Kaapa'' was at first to be directed by Venu. But later, he dropped out of the project due to creative differences. Manju Warrier was cast in the film for an important role but she opted out as she was busy with the shooting of Ajith Kumar's ''Thunivu''. Aparna Balamurali was then cast as the replacement. ''Kaapa'' was released theatrically on 22 December 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and audience alike. Asif Ali (born 4 February 1986) is an Indian actor and producer, who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. He started his film career with Shyamaprasad's 2009 Malayalam Language film, '' Ritu''. Shaji Kailas (born 8 February 1965) is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in Malayalam cinema. Shaji got a breakthrough with the comedy film ''Dr. Pasupathy'' (1990). Aparna Balamurali (born 11 September 1995) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Malayalam films along with a few Tamil films.
