Kaama
''Kaama'' () is a 1999 Indian drama film co-written and directed by Ashok Kumar. Simultaneously made in three languages, the film stars newcomers Vishal, Sunila and Urvashi, while Deepti Bhatnagar, Asha Mehra and Alphonsa make guest appearances. The film was titled as ''Kaama'' in Tamil, ''Kama'' in Telugu and ''Kaama Tantra'' (, see also tantra) in Hindi. Ashok Kumar (cinematographer)
Ashok Kumar Aggarwal (circa 1941 22 October 2014) was an Indian cinematographer who worked mainly in the South Indian film industry. In a career that spanned nearly four decades, he worked in over 125 feature films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. Aggarwal was a member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC). Born in Allahabad to a Hindi poet, Ashok Kumar obtained a diploma in photography from the Allahabad University. His passion for cinema made him enroll for a course in motion picture photography at the Institute of Film Technology, Adyar, Chennai. Upon passing out of the institute, he made his cinematic debut with the 1969 Malayalam film '' Janmabhoomi'' for which he was awarded that year's Kerala State Film Award for Best Cinematography. Bala Singh (7 May 195227 November 2019) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil language films. After making his debut in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995), he appeared as the antagonist in over a hundred films. Early life and career Bala Singh was born in Kaliyakkavilai, near Marthandam in Kanyakumari District. Bala Singh initially began his career featuring in stage plays and trained with the National School of Drama, before being handed his first film role in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995). Deepti Bhatnagar (born 30 September 1967) is a former Indian actress and model who worked predominantly in Hindi films, in addition to Telugu films. ''Padayappa'' is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar.
