Ardmore is the county seat of Carter County, Oklahoma, United States. According to the 2010 census, the city had a population of 24,283, with an estimated population of 24,698 in 2019. The Ardmore micropolitan statistical area had an estimated population of 48,491 in 2013. Ardmore is from both Oklahoma City and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, at the junction of Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 70, and is generally considered the hub of the 13-county region of South Central Oklahoma, also known by state tourism pamphlets as " Chickasaw Country" and previously "Lake and Trail Country". It is also a part of the Texoma region. Stephens Media Group is an Oklahoma based radio broadcaster that owns 75 radio stations particularly in small to mid-size markets. Its flagship stations are at its headquarters in Tulsa. Stephens refers to itself as "A portfolio of People", referencing the team members who work for the company. History Stephens Media started with stations around Tulsa, Oklahoma, before expanding to small markets outside of there. On May 1, 2008, Stephens Media announced that it would acquire WFKL, WRMM-FM, and WZNE in Rochester, New York, as a part of Entercom's purchase of stations from CBS Radio in the market. In April 2018, Ingstad Radio sold 14 of its stations in Washington to Stephens Media Group. In July 2019, it was announced that the company would acquire 37 stations from Mapleton Communications. Lone Grove is a city in Carter County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 5,054 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Micropolitan Statistical Area of Ardmore. Classic hits is a radio format which generally includes songs from the top 40 music charts from the late 1960s to the early 2000s, with music from the 1980s serving as the core of the format. FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting using frequency modulation (FM).
