Deseret Digital Media, Inc. (DDM) is a subsidiary company of Deseret Management Corporation, an American holding company owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. DDM owns newspapers and websites, as well as radio and television stations. Former CEO, Clark Gilbert, was named president of BYU-Idaho in early 2015. Chris Lee was the president of the company after Clark's departure. In 2016, Greg Peterson became the president of the company. DDM was formed in 2009 to run the website operations. KSL-TV
KSL-TV (channel 5) is a television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is the flagship television property of locally based Bonneville International, the for-profit broadcasting arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), and is sister to KSL radio (1160 AM and 102.7 FM). The three stations share studios at the Broadcast House building in Salt Lake City's Triad Center; KSL-TV's transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. KSL Classifieds is a classified advertisements website covering northern Utah and nearby parts of Idaho and Wyoming. It is one of the largest classifieds sites in the U.S. and the only one to draw more users than Craigslist within its local market. It is operated by Deseret Digital Media, a subsidiary of Deseret Management Corporation, a holding company owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). KSL Newsradio is a pair of radio stations serving the Salt Lake City, Utah region, consisting of the original AM station, KSL, licensed to Salt Lake City on 1160 kHz, and FM station KSL-FM, licensed to Midvale on 102.7 MHz. Owned by Bonneville International, a broadcasting subsidiary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the stations share studios with sister television station KSL-TV in the Broadcast House building at the Triad Center in downtown Salt Lake City. The AM station broadcasts with 50,000 watts non-directional, day and night, the maximum power permitted by the Federal Communications Commission. KRSP-FM (103.5 MHz, "103.5 The Arrow") is a radio station in Salt Lake City, Utah. KSFI (100.3 FM) is a radio station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. KSFI maintains studio facilities located at the KSL Broadcast House building in Salt Lake City's Triad Center (which also house KRSP-FM and the KSL-AM-FM- TV partners), and its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. History On October 31, 1940, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) awarded the first fifteen commercial FM station construction permits, including an assignment for Salt Lake City on 44.7 MHz to the Radio Service Corporation of Utah, which was also the licensee of AM station KSL.
