KRZB-TV
KRZB-TV, ultra high frequency, UHF analog television, analog channel 26, was an independent station (North America), independent television station city of license, licensed to Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States, which operated from 1986 to 1988. It closed due to financial mismanagement and awaiting efforts to complete a major facility upgrade that would have increased the station's advertising and viewership base. The dormant license was ultimately purchased and used to build KVTH, the Hot Springs transmitter of the Victory Television Network. History On September 9, 1982, Razorback Television Broadcasting, a firm formed by two men from Minden, Louisiana—Herman Drew and Dr. Robert Kemmerly—applied to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a new television station on channel 26 to serve Hot Springs. The FCC granted the application on May 2, 1983, and Drew and Kemmerly announced they would have KRZB-TV on air by January 1985 as a local independent heavy on movies. ... Victory Television Network
The Victory Television Network (VTN) is a religious independent television network serving the U.S. state of Arkansas. It serves as the broadcasting arm of the Little Rock–based Agape Church, and is operated by a namesake parent subsidiary that holds the licenses for the three stations that comprise the network: flagship station KVTN-DT (channel 25) in Pine Bluff, and satellites KVTH-DT (channel 26) in Hot Springs and KVTJ-DT (channel 48) in Jonesboro. Although all three stations have commercial licenses, VTN—which is the only Christian-oriented television network headquartered in Arkansas and is among the few religious independent stations located outside of a major U.S. television market—operates as a non-profit entity reliant on monetary contributions from its viewers to fund its operations.
