KRVF
KRVF ( FM) is a country music radio station licensed to Kerens, Texas and is owned and operated by LKCM Radio Group. KRVF is a sister station to 95.9 KFWR-FM "The Ranch" in Jacksboro, Texas and serves as an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys radio network. History On August 16, 1979, 107.1 signed on as KTLR, licensed to Terrell, Texas and was owned by Ken Jones d.b.a. Terrell Radio. It signed on as the FM counterpart to 1570 KTER. KTLR later moved to the Corsicana area, licensed to Kerens, as part of a series of moves that also included former sister station 107.1 KRVA-FM relocating from McKinney to Sulphur Springs. On New Year's Day 1993, KTLR to 106.9 and changed to a Spanish music format from Spanish Radio pioneer Marcos Rodriguez Sr., son of Marcos A. Rodriguez. In 1997, the call letters were changed to KZDL under the same format. In 1999, the callsign was changed to KRVF and included a simulcast of WFAA-TV's evening news in Spanish. KFWR is a country music FM radio station in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas, transmitting on 95.9 FM and playing a Texas Country format. This station is owned and operated by LKCM Radio Group. The station's studios are located in Sundance Square in Downtown Fort Worth, and its transmitter is located southeast of Jacksboro, Texas (the city of license). History The station first started out as KMWT in 1970, with an unknown format. In 1981, the call letters were changed to KYXS as a country music station. In 2002, the station made its permanent switch to KFWR, bringing listeners a country radio station with a blend of Texas country, current country hits, and country classics. Glen Rose is a city in and the county seat of Somervell County, Texas, United States. As of the 2012 census estimate, the city population was 2,502. History 19th century The area was first settled in 1849 by Charles Barnard, who opened a trading post near Comanche Peak. Sulphur Springs is a city in and the county seat of Hopkins County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census, its population was 15,449.
