KPDA (FM)
KPDA (100.7 FM, "La Poderosa") is a commercial radio station that is licensed to Mountain Home, Idaho, United States and serves the Boise, Idaho area. The station is owned by Kevin Terry, through licensee Radio Rancho, LLC and broadcasts a regional Mexican format. History The station, originally on 99.1 MHz, first signed on in 1982 as KQKZ and broadcast a soft rock format. On November 1, 1984, the station changed its call sign to KJCY-FM to match that of its AM sister station (1240 AM, now KMHI), then to KLVJ-FM on June 1, 1989. In August 1992, Media Venture Management Inc., headed by Randolph George, sold KLVJ-FM and its AM counterpart KLVJ to William Konopnicki for $78,000. Mountain Home, Idaho
Mountain Home is the largest city and county seat of Elmore County, Idaho, United States. The population was 15,979 in the 2020 census. Mountain Home is the principal city of the Mountain Home, Idaho Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Elmore County. Mountain Home was originally a post office at Rattlesnake Station, a stagecoach stop on the Overland Stage Line, about seven miles (11 km) east of the city, on present-day US-20 towards Fairfield. With the addition of the Oregon Short Line Railroad in 1883, the post office was moved downhill and west to the city's present site. Faction Talk is a subscription-based channel on the satellite radio service Sirius XM Radio. The channel first aired on XM on August 6, 2004 as xL High Voltage in preparation for the launch of the American radio show ''Opie and Anthony'' several months later, and required subscribers to purchase the channel as a premium, until 2005. XM Satellite Radio (XM) was one of the three satellite radio (SDARS) and online radio services in the United States and Canada, operated by Sirius XM Holdings. It provided pay-for-service radio, analogous to subscription cable television. Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel (also known more recently as ''The True Oldies Channel: Greatest Hits'') is a radio network begun in the spring of 2004. Originally distributed by ABC Radio Networks via satellite, the service plays a hybrid oldies/classic hits format comprising music mostly from 1964 to 1979 but also plays selected cuts from the 1955-1963 era and also from the 1980s. As of September 22, 2016, it is distributed via United Stations Radio Networks. Prior to June 30, 2014; the service had over 100 affiliate stations across the United States. Cumulus Media Networks was an American radio network owned and operated by Cumulus Media. From 2011 until its merger with Westwood One, it controlled many of the radio assets formerly belonging to the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), which was broken up in 2007; Cumulus owned the portion of the network that was purchased by Citadel Broadcasting that year.
