KOAN Sound
KOAN Sound ( ; named after the word ''kōan'') is an English electronic music production duo from Bristol, consisting of Will Weeks and Jim Bastow. A track from the ''Max Out EP'' is titled "One Hand Clap" – a reference to a well-known ''kōan'' with the implied answer of silence. They initially gained recognition as dubstep producers, with earlier popular tracks including "Akira". Some of their many types of music includes glitch hop, neurohop, and Drum & Bass. The duo have since released music on various labels including Inspected Records and Owsla, and have worked with a number of other artists, including producer Asa and singer Ed Sheeran. Thomas Wesley Pentz (born November 10, 1978), known professionally as Diplo, is an American DJ and music producer. He is the co-creator and lead member of the electronic dancehall music project Major Lazer, a member of the supergroup LSD with Sia and Labrinth, a member of electronic duo Jack Ü with producer and DJ Skrillex, and a member of Silk City with Mark Ronson. ''Osu!'' (stylized as ''osu!'') is a free-to-play rhythm game primarily developed, published, and created by Dean "peppy" Herbert. Inspired by iNiS' rhythm game ''Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan'', it was written in C# on the .NET Framework, and was released for Microsoft Windows on 16 September 2007. The game has throughout the years been ported to macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Culprate (real name: John Hislop) is a British electronic music producer, whose music ranges from IDM to dubstep. He established his role in the burgeoning UK dubstep scene by releasing EPs on Dubsaw Recordings and Inspected Records from 2010 to 2013. The UK Independent Singles Breakers Chart and the UK Independent Album Breakers Chart are music charts based on UK sales of singles and albums released on independent record labels by musical artists who have never made the UK top 20. Benga (musician)
Adegbenga Adejumo (born 1986), known as Benga, is a British musician from Croydon, known for being a pioneer of dubstep record production. He has been featured on a variety of compilations including Mary Anne Hobbs's '' Warrior Dubz'', Tempa's ''The Roots of Dubstep'' and the BBC Radio 1Xtra anniversary mix. Career Adejumo is of Yoruba Nigerian descent. Inspired by UK garage producer Wookie, Benga would produce tunes on a PlayStation, and subsequently FruityLoops. Oliver Dene Jones (born 1 June 1986), known as Skream, is an English electronic music producer based in Croydon. Skream was an early and influential exponent of the dubstep genre. After producing several singles, he released his first full-length album, '' Skream!'', in 2006. Skream and longtime collaborators Artwork and Benga co-founded a music group called Magnetic Man. Their debut album, ''Magnetic Man'' was released in 2010. In July 2011, Jones had his first child, a son. Jones is the brother of jungle DJ Hijak.
