KMNY
KMNY (1360 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Hurst, Texas, and serving the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. It is owned by Multicultural Broadcasting and broadcasts a Spanish-language Christian radio format known as "La Voz 1360." KMNY uses a brokered programming approach, where preachers buy blocks of time on the station and can ask for donations during their shows to support their ministries. By day, it is powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum for AM radio stations licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. But at night, to protect other stations on 1360 AM, it reduces power to 890 watts. While the daytime signal covers the Metroplex, the nighttime signal is limited to a smaller area west of Dallas. KDFT (540 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Ferris, Texas and broadcasting to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It is owned and operated by Multicultural Broadcasting and airs a Spanish-language Christian talk and teaching radio format. It's slogan is "La Ponderosa" or "The Power." By day, KDFT is powered at 1,000 watts. But 540 AM is a Mexican and Canadian clear channel frequency. So to avoid interference, KDFT reduces its nighttime power to 249 watts. Hurst is a city in the U.S. state of Texas located in the densely populated portion of northeastern Tarrant County and is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. Norman Alden
Norman Alden (born Norman Adelberg, September 13, 1924 – July 27, 2012) was an American character actor who performed in television programs and motion pictures. He first appeared on television on ''The 20th Century Fox Hour'' in 1957. He provided the voice of Kay in '' The Sword in the Stone'' (1963), and had a notable role in '' I Never Promised You a Rose Garden''. His acting career began in 1957 and lasted nearly 50 years. He is also known for playing Kranix and Arblus in '' The Transformers: The Movie'' (1986). He retired from acting in 2006. He died on 27 June 2012 at the age of 87. Grand Prairie, Texas
Grand Prairie is a city in Dallas, Tarrant, and Ellis counties of Texas, in the United States. It is part of the Mid-Cities region in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
