Klingon Language Institute
The Klingon Language Institute (KLI) is an independent organization originally founded in Flourtown, Pennsylvania and now located in Kentucky. Its goal is to promote the Klingon language and culture. General The KLI has members from all over the world. For 13 years, it published a quarterly journal ' (Klingon for "linguistics"), before discontinuing the paper mailings and changing to an electronic version which quickly stopped entirely. It also published the fiction and poetry magazine ' for three volumes. It now publishes a number of translated works including '' The Wizard of Oz'', ''The Art of War'', the ''Tao Teh Ching'', ''Gilgamesh'', ''Much Ado About Nothing'' and more. Each year, the KLI hosts a five-day conference called the (Klingon for "great meeting"), which is open to both members and anyone interested in the language. Konrad Lorenz Institute For Evolution And Cognition Research
The Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research (KLI) is an international center for advanced studies in the life and sustainability sciences. It is a "Home to Theory that Matters" that supports the articulation, analysis, and integration of theories in biology and the sustainability sciences, exploring their wider scientific, cultural, and social significance. The institute is located in Klosterneuburg, near Vienna, Austria. Until 2013, the institute was located in the family mansion of the Nobel Laureate Konrad Lorenz in Altenberg. Lorenz' work laid the foundation for an evolutionary approach to mind and cognition. The institute unites fellows, visiting scholars, students, and external faculty. Korean Language Institute
The Yonsei University Korean Language Institute (Hangul: 한국어학당, Hanja:) provides instruction in Korean as a foreign language for international students and businesspeople in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Established in 1959, over 62,000 students from more than 120 countries have studied at Yonsei KLI. Most students have come from Japan (over 18,000), United States (over 16,000) or China (over 3,000). As of May 2022, the newly formed Teachers Union of Yonsei KLI has begun publicly protesting against the institute administration’s expectation of free labor. Students have generally voiced solidarity with the union protests, which are ongoing.
