KLZ
KLZ (560 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Denver, Colorado and owned by Crawford Broadcasting. KLZ received its first broadcasting license on March 10, 1922. It is the oldest broadcasting station in the state of Colorado, and one of the oldest in the United States. The station's 5,000-watt signal covers much of the population center of Colorado, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The station also transmits an HD digital sub-channel. In addition, listeners in Denver can hear KLZ programming on the FM dial, on translator K264BO 100.7 MHz. KLDC (1220 AM) is a radio station licensed to Denver, Colorado. The station is currently owned by Crawford Broadcasting Company, DBA KLZ Radio, Inc. KLDC, along with sister station 670 KLTT, broadcasts a Christian talk and teaching radio format. While KLTT carries mostly national religious leaders, KLDC is home for numerous local preachers and ministries. Two exceptions are David Jeremiah and Charles Stanley, both heard on KLDC. KLTT (670 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian Talk format to the Denver, Colorado, and Colorado Springs, United States, areas. The station is currently owned by Crawford Broadcasting and is licensed to Colorado subsidiary KLZ Radio, Inc. With its 50,000-watt daytime signal, KLTT broadcasts can be received throughout most of the state. This powerful daytime signal reaches into southeastern Wyoming, northeastern New Mexico, and into the western portions of Nebraska and Kansas. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for an in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. It generally simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information. HD Radio is used primarily by AM and FM radio stations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a few implementations outside North America. The term "on channel" is a misnomer because the system actually broadcasts on the ordinarily unused channels adjacent to an existing radio station's allocation.
