KLXX
KLXX (1270 AM), known as "Super Talk 1270", is a radio station located midway between Mandan and Bismarck, North Dakota, United States. It has always been licensed to Mandan, although most of its audience is in neighboring Bismarck. KLXX currently broadcasts with a talk radio format. Townsquare Media also owns KACL 98.7 (Oldies), KBYZ 96.5 (Classic rock), KKCT 97.5 (Top 40), and KUSB 103.3 (Country) in the Bismarck-Mandan area. History The station was founded in the fall of 1926 as KGCU by the Mandan Chamber of Commerce, and initially broadcast at 1250 on the dial. Bismarck Bobcats
The Bismarck Bobcats are a Tier II junior ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Central Division, and play out of Bismarck, North Dakota, in the V.F.W. Sports Center. Originally a part of the American Frontier Hockey League (and later called the America West Hockey League), the Bobcats joined the NAHL in a merger of the two leagues in 2003. The extended mediumwave broadcast band, commonly known as the AM expanded band, refers to the broadcast station frequency assignments immediately above the earlier upper limits of 1600 kHz in International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Region 2 (the Americas), and 1602 kHz in ITU Regions 1 (Europe, northern Asia and Africa) and 3 (southern Asia and Oceania).
