KLOT-LP (107.7 FM) is a terrestrial American low power radio station, licensed to Cat Spring, Austin County, Texas, United States, and is owned by the Austin County Community Communications of Cat Spring. History KLOT-LP was issued an initial construction permit to build a 58 watt, Class L1 (low power) community station near Farm to Market Road 1094 and Mill Creek Road in Austin County, north of the town of Cat Spring. The construction permit was assigned the callsign KLOT-LP on September 18, 2014. The facility received its initial License to Cover on December 8, 2016. Cat Spring, Texas
Cat Spring is an unincorporated community in southern Austin County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, it had a population of 76 in 2000. Cat Spring was one of the first German/American settlements in Texas, and the location of Texas' first agricultural society. History Cat Spring was founded by immigrants from Oldenburg and Westphalia that was led by Ludwig Anton Siegmund von Roeder and Robert J. Kleberg in 1834, in which many of them were attracted to the area and the state by letters sent from Friedrich Ernst after he bought a plot of land in the Mill Creek Valley in 1831 and named for a nearby spring near the San Bernard River where a puma was killed by one of the German immigrants. Sealy, Texas
Sealy is a city in Austin County in southeastern Texas, United States. The population was 6,839 at the 2020 census. Sealy is located west of the downtown Houston area, on the most eastern part of the Texas-German belt region, an area settled by German emigrants. History San Felipe, Texas, sold part of its original township to the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad to create Sealy in 1879. Sealy gets its name after business tycoon and majority stock holder of the GCSF RR, George Sealy of Galveston. In 1881, Daniel Haynes, a cotton gin builder, filled a request for a cotton-filled mattress which started a company. He named this the Sealy Mattress Company after the town. Bellville is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Austin County. The city's population was 4,206 at the 2020 census. Bellville is on the eastern edge of the Texas-German belt, and Bellville is known for its German culture and descendants of those Germans still call Bellville home. Bellville was named for Thomas B.
