KK Sentral
KK Sentral or also called as KK Sentral Bus Terminal ( ms, Terminal Bas KK Sentral) is a bus station in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The terminal sits on a three-hectare site of land and operating express bus services from the city to Beaufort, Sipitang, Menumbok, Lawas and Brunei. Fully opened on 28 July 2019, KK Sentral replaced the old temporary bus station at Jalan Tugu. KK Sentral is the first smart and systematic bus station in the state of Sabah. History The terminal building started to be constructed in 2011 before finally completed in 2017 as one of the four integrated bus terminals planned under the Kota Kinabalu City Public Transportation Master Plan. The Sentral's parking lots opened on 5 July 2017 while its bus service was opened on 28 July 2019 at a cost of around RM54 million. Lawas
Lawas ( ms, Pekan Lawas) is a small town and the capital of Lawas District, Limbang Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. This district area is 3,811.90 square kilometres, and population (year 2020 census) was 46,200. It is 1,200 km from the state capital, Kuching and 200 km from the capital city of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu. Etymology There are several versions of the origin of the name "Lawas". It reportedly came from the Malay word ''luas'' which means "spacious". During earlier times, people tended to settle down in spacious areas and thus the town was born. Surau
A surau is an Islamic assembly building in some regions of Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula used for worship and religious instruction. Generally smaller physical structures, its ritual functions are similar to a mosque, allow men and women, and are used more for religious instruction and festive prayers. Limbang Division
Limbang Division is one of the twelve administrative divisions of Sarawak, Malaysia. It has a total area of 7,788.50 square kilometres, and is the fourth largest division after Kapit Division, Miri Division and Bintulu Division.
