KK Kumanovo
KK Kumanovo ( mk, КК Куманово) is a professional basketball club based in Kumanovo, North Macedonia. They currently play in the Macedonian First League. The club play their home matches at the Sports Hall Kumanovo. History Founded: 1946 Name: KK Kumanovo 2009 (09-). After the founding in 1946, the team was only able to achieve national successes in 1980. In the 90s Kumanovo team qualified for the Korac Cup 1998/99 , in which they lost a two-legged home game against KK Krka as well as two years later in the same competition against the BK Jambol. A season later, they also moved into the 2002 play-off final series for the Macedonian championship, in which they lost two to four wins against record champions and defending champion Feršped Rabotnički from the capital Skopje. Already in the following season the team could not keep up due to payment difficulties and occupied a relegation zone. Macedonian First League (basketball)
The Macedonian First League ( mk, Македонска прва лига, ''Makedonska prva liga'') is the top-tier basketball competition in the Republic of North Macedonia organized by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia. Macedonian Republic League was transformed in to top division level Macedonian Basketball First League. After the transformation teams from the higher level federal Leagues (MZT and Rabotnički) joined the Macedonian First League. Teams Feniks 2010 and Angeli were promoted. Igor Mihajlovski ( mk, Игор Михајловски; born December 24, 1973) is a Macedonian former professional basketball player and currently assistant coach of Rabotnički. Playing career Mihajlovski has played with: KK Kumanovo, KK Partizan, KK MZT Aerodrom, KK Rabotnički, F.C. Porto, S.C. Lusitânia and Rogla Zrece. Aleksandar Kostoski ( mk, Александар Костоски; born 5 March 1988) is a Macedonian professional basketball player. He currently plays for TFT. He is also a member of the Macedonian national team.
