KK Crvena Zvezda (youth)
KK Crvena zvezda is a men's professional basketball Sports club, club based in Belgrade, Serbia, which has youth system teams, cadets (under-16) and juniors (under-18 and under-19). The U18 and U19 teams play in the RODA Junior Basketball League of Serbia and the Junior Adriatic League. They have won a Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament. The U16 team plays in the Zavarovalnica Triglav, Triglav Cadet Basketball League of Serbia. Junior ABA League
The Junior ABA League, officially known as the U19 ABA League Championship, is a regional boy's youth age basketball tournament that is contested between the youth selections of basketball clubs from the ABA League. It is run by the ABA League JTD. It is a regional competition between men's teams from six countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia. History The ABA League Assembly, held on July 24, 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia, decided to organize the Junior League with a desire to strengthen its position as the main power for development of basketball in the region. FIBA's 50 Greatest Players (1991)
FIBA's 50 Greatest Players (1991) is the list of the 50 greatest players in the history of FIBA international basketball, as selected in the year 1991, by FIBA Magazine. The list was created in honor of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the sport of basketball, by James Naismith. FIBA had a group of international basketball experts, composed mainly of international basketball coaches, vote for the 50 greatest players list. Each expert voter was tasked with picking 25 players. Crosarka also picked their15 best European basketball players of all time The voting was tallied as, 25 points for a 1st place vote, 24 points for a 2nd place vote, and so on. Predrag Bogosavljev ( sr-cyr, Предраг Богосављев; born June 27, 1959) is a Serbian basketball executive and former player. Playing career Bogosavljev played for the Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav First League from 1976–1989. He is ranked 2nd for most games played (423), behind Slobodan Nikolić, and 7th for the most points scored (4,350) in the history of Crvena zvezda. He also played for the OKK Beograd with whom he won the Yugoslav Cup in 1993. National team career Bogosavljev was a member of the Yugoslavia national junior team that won the gold medal at the 1976 European Championship for Juniors in Spain. Slobodan Nikolić
Slobodan Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Слободан Николић; born June 14, 1959) is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. Playing career Nikolić played for the Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav First League from 1975 to 1987 and from 1989 to 1991. He holds the Clubs records for the most seasons played (14) and the most games played (429). He also played for the Vojvodina and the OKK Beograd as well as for Bulgarian team Plama Pleven. He retired as a player with Radnički Kragujevac in 1995. Žarko Koprivica
Žarko Koprivica ( sr-cyr, Жарко Копривица; born May 8, 1956) is a Serbian basketball executive and former professional player. Playing career Koprivica played for Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav Federal League. Over 181 games he averaged 14.9 points per game. He won one Yugoslav Cup in his first senior season. In the 1978–79 season, he averaged 29.3 points per game. National team career Koprivica was a member of the Yugoslav national U16 team that won the bronze medal at the 1975 European Championship for Cadets. Ivan Sarjanović ( sr-cyr, Иван Сарјановић; born 30 April 1949), is a Serbian physician and former professional basketball player. Medical career Sarjanović earned his master's degree in medicine from the University of Belgrade in 1981. Also, he received degrees in medicine from the Marche Polytechnic University in Ancona, Italy and the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a physician, Sarjanović worked in Malta, Slovenia, Italy and the United States (Houston, TX). Goran Rakočević ( sr-cyr, Горан Ракочевић; born March 1, 1951), is a former Serbian professional basketball player. He is the father of Igor Rakočević, a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player. Playing career Rakočević spent entire playing career in Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav Basketball League, where he played during 1970s. Dragan Kapičić ( sr-cyr, Драган Капичић; born 7 August 1948) is a retired Serbian professional basketball player and executive. Club career Kapičić played with Crvena zvezda, in his hometown of Belgrade, in the Yugoslav First Federal League, from 1965 to 1977. His teammates were Zoran Slavnić, Ljubodrag Simonović, Dragiša Vučinić, and Vladimir Cvetković among others. Vladimir Cvetković ( sr-cyr, Владимир Цветковић; born 24 May 1941) is a Serbian former basketball player and sports administrator who is the honorary president of Crvena zvezda. Predrag Stojaković ( sr-cyr, Предраг Стојаковић, ; born June 9, 1977), known by his nickname Peja (''Peđa'', Пеђа, ), is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player who was most recently the assistant general manager and director of player personnel and development of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 10 (2.08 m), Stojaković played mostly at the small forward position. He won the NBA Three-Point Contest two times, and was the first European-born player to win one of the All-Star Weekend competitions.
