KKSM is a 500-Watt Class B college radio station broadcasting full-time at 1320 kHz from the campus of Palomar College, San Marcos, California. The station, licensed in Oceanside, simulcasts via Cox Cable channel 957 and streams via the internet. Organization Students in the Palomar College radio broadcasting program make up the station on-air staff. Radio students also serve as the station's Program Director, Music Director, Promotions Director, Sports Director, News Director, Public Service Announcement Director. A faculty advisor serves in the position of General Manager and an independent contractor serves as the Chief Engineer. Format Format emphasis is on alternative music with specialty and freeform (radio format) programs encompassing other musical genres. North County
North County is a region in the northern area of San Diego County, California. It is the second-most populous region in the county (after San Diego), with an estimated population of 869,322. Palomar College
Palomar College is a public community college in San Diego County, California. The main campus is in San Marcos and three centers and four education sites are located elsewhere throughout north San Diego County. The largest of these by student population is the education center located in Escondido. In 2018, education centers in Rancho Bernardo and Fallbrook opened. The Rancho Bernardo Education Center is located on 27 acres at 11111 Rancho Bernardo Road, and the Fallbrook Education Center is located on 81 acres at 35090 Horse Ranch Creek Road.
