It is owned by Gray Television alongside CBS affiliate KGMB (channel 5) and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Kailua-Kona–licensed Telemundo affiliate KFVE (channel 6). The stations share studios on Waiakamilo Road in downtown Honolulu, while KHNL's transmitter is located in Akupu, Hawaii.
