KEXA (93.9 FM) is an American radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to serve the community of King City, California, which is in Southern Monterey County. KEXA-FM is licensed to and operated by Daniel Alcantar, through licensee Inspiration Media Network, LLC. KEXA previously had a bilingual Top 40 format named Exa FM until May 2, 200that was targeted at the Salinas Valley's Hispanic population. It had licensed the format from MVS Radio of Mexico. King City, California
King City (variant: Kings City) is a city in Monterey County, California, United States. It is located on the Salinas River southeast of Salinas, at an elevation of . It lies along U.S. Route 101 in the Salinas Valley of California's Central Coast. King City is a member of the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments. The population was 13,332 at the 2020 census, up from 12,874 in 2010. History The first European land exploration of Alta California, Don Gaspar de Portolá's Spanish expedition, camped on the Salinas River just south of today's King City on September 26, 1769, having followed the route of today's Jolon Road from the south. The land they camped on would later become part of King City. The Dutton Hotel, Stagecoach Station, was located on Jolon Road in King City.
