KDMG (103.1 FM "Big Country 103.1") is a radio station that broadcasts a country music format. It serves the Burlington, Iowa area. The station is owned by Pritchard Broadcasting. On-air personalities "The David Kroll Radio Show" hosted by David Kroll is on weekday mornings 6–10. Aric Bremer hosts afternoons Monday–Friday from 3 to 7 and Saturday 10am – 3pm. Burlington is a city in, and the county seat of, Des Moines County, Iowa, United States. The population was 23,982 in the 2020 census, a decline from the 26,839 population in 2000. Burlington is the center of a micropolitan area, which includes West Burlington and Middletown, Iowa, and Gulfport, Illinois. Burlington is the home of Snake Alley, the most crooked street. History Prior to European settlement, the area was neutral territory for the Sac and Fox Native American tribes, who called it Shoquoquon (''Shok-ko-kon''), meaning Flint Hills. In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson organized two parties of explorers to map the Louisiana Purchase. The Lewis and Clark Expedition followed the Missouri River, while Lt. Zebulon Pike followed the Mississippi River. KHDK (97.3 FM "Hot 97.3") is a Top 40 (CHR) radio station based in Burlington, Iowa, United States. It is owned by the Pritchard Broadcasting Corporation. Before KHDK Before CHR made its 2006 debut in the Burlington-Fort Madison area on 97.3, the station was known as KKNL (K K New London). KKNL was actually a simulcast of 93.5 KKMI to provide a better signal to Mount Pleasant, as the 93.5 signal is hard to receive in the Mount Pleasant Area. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) is a radio syndication network controlled by Speedway Motorsports (SMI) founded in 1981. PRN airs NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series events held at Speedway Motorsports and Penske Corporation-owned and managed tracks. PRN first began airing the NASCAR events at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Coca-Cola 600, the fall race, but not the NASCAR All-Star Race).
