KC Athletics
KC Athletics is an American amateur soccer team based in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Founded in 2001, the team plays in Region II of the United States Adult Soccer Association, a network of amateur leagues at the fifth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team's colors are white and sky blue. History Founded in 2001 as a merger of the Kansas Legends Soccer Club and the Kansas City Football Club, the KC Athletics won regionals in its first year competing in the Snickers Nationals, and ended up finishing third nationally in the competition. The following year, their Under-20 team won a national championship, but then the club went on hiatus with many of the players joining nearby PDL clubs like the Des Moines Menace and the Kansas City Brass. In 2004, the KC Athletics were reborn. USASA
The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) is a national organization for amateur soccer in the United States. It consists of 55 state organizations as well as national, regional and state leagues. The National Premier Soccer League, NISA Nation and United Premier Soccer League are USASA national affiliates designed to promote a higher level of competition than the state organizations. USASA also affiliates the Women's Premier Soccer League, one of the unrecognized third division leagues below the fully professional NWSL. USL League Two was once affiliated with USASA but is now its own player registration organization. USASA has over 250,000 adult members within its leagues and teams. Christopher Henry Markey (born September 23, 1985) is a former running back who played for UCLA from 2004 to 2007. He started in the 2006 and 2007 seasons, and also started briefly in the 2004 season after Maurice Jones-Drew was injured. Joshua Thomas McDaniels (born April 22, 1976) is an American football head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). Martin Johnston (12 November 1947 – 21 June 1990) was an Australian poet and novelist. Martin Johnston was born in Sydney on 12 November 1947, son of the writers George Johnston and Charmian Clift. His early childhood was spent in London and Sydney. In 1954 the family moved to Greece. They returned to England in 1960 and Australia in 1964. He was educated at North Sydney Boys High School and Sydney University. In the mid-to-late 1970s he lived and travelled with Australian writer, Nadia Wheatley.
