KCUB (1290 AM broadcasting, AM) is a commercial radio station located in Tucson, Arizona. KCUB is owned by Cumulus Media and airs a sports radio, sports radio format. NBC Red Network
The National Broadcasting Company's NBC Radio Network (known as the NBC Red Network prior to 1942) was an American commercial radio network which was in operation from 1926 through 2004. Along with the NBC Blue Network it was one of the first two nationwide networks established in the United States. Its major competitors were the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), founded in 1927, and the Mutual Broadcasting System, founded in 1934. The cycle per second is a once-common English name for the unit of frequency now known as the hertz (Hz). The plural form was typically used, often written cycles per second, cycles/second, c.p.s., c/s, or, ambiguously, just cycles (Cy./Cyc.). Rich Herrera
Rich Herrera is a nationally known sports radio personality. Herrera is the only radio announcer in MLB or the NFL of Mexican–American Heritage without a playing background. He was the first nationally syndicated Hispanic sports radio personality in the United States working first at Sports Fan Radio, and later at Fox Sports Radio. Early life Herrera attended California State University-Bakersfield where he was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity. ''The Jim Rome Show'' is a sports radio talk show hosted by Jim Rome. It airs live for three hours each weekday from 9 a.m. to noon Pacific Time. KTZR (1450 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station located in Tucson, Arizona. KTZR airs a sports format. Its studios are located north of downtown Tucson along Oracle Road, while the transmitter site is southeast of downtown. History For many years, the station played an oldies format that played rock and roll hits of the 1950s and 1960s as "Cool 1450". This station became "Funny 1450", as a comedy station, at 10AM on January 26, 2011; the last song on Cool was "Hello, Goodbye" by The Beatles. On November 28, 2011, KWFM changed their format to Spanish adult hits, branded as "La Preciosa 1450" under new calls, KTZR.
