KB Tirana
KB Tirana are an Albanian professional basketball team based in Tiranë, which is the basketball branch of SK Tirana. They compete in the Albanian Basketball League, Liga Unike and the Balkan International Basketball League. The club plays its home domestic games at the Farie Hoti Sports Palace, and they play their international games at the Asllan Rusi Sports Palace. Tirana are one of the two most successful teams in the history of Albanian basketball (men), having won the Albanian League 20 times, the Albanian Cup 19 times and the Albanian Supercups 8 times. They have won a total of 47 trophies, and only BC Partizani Tirana have won more in Albania with 48. Albanian Basketball Superliga
The Albanian Basketball Superliga is the men's professional basketball league in Albania. It was founded in 1946 shortly after the formation of the Albanian Basketball Association and it is the highest division in the Albanian Basketball League. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 recognized major domestic trophies. Klubi i Basketbollit Prishtina (English: ''Basketball Club Prishtina''), officially known as Sigal Prishtina due to sponsorship reasons, is a Kosovar professional basketball club based in Pristina. Gerti Shima (born 9 May 1986 in Tirana) is an Albanian professional basketball player who currently plays for Albanian side KB Tirana in the Albanian Basketball Superliga. Shima transferred for the second time to Sigal Prishtina in January 2016. He made a big comeback to his hometown club, where he has been playing professionally since he was 15 years old, KB Tirana on 3 November 2016.He retired from basketball in September 2021,after he was elected in position of Secretary General in Albania National Olympic Committee. Tirana Olympic Park
The Tirana Olympic Park Feti Borova (Parku Olimpik “Feti Borova”) is a multi-purpose arena in Tirana, Albania. The Government of Albania held a public tender for the construction of a sports hall in order to host games. The complex was inaugurated the 4 June 2017 with a basketball match between ex-players from the National Teams from Albania and Kosovo. The Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj participated as well in that game. The Olympic Park was built on the site of the Sports Complex of the Sports Services Agency, which was formerly known as the Dinamo Complex, near the Grand Park of Tirana.
