KBDB-FM
KBDB-FM is an American radio station licensed to operate on the FM frequency of 96.7 MHz. Licensed to Forks, Washington,. the station is owned by Forks Broadcasting Inc. it broadcasts an adult contemporary format. KBDB-FM is the only commercial radio station serving the West End of Clallam County, Washington. The studios are at 260 Cedar Avenue in Forks. The station's transmitter was located next to the studios until early 2016. Because of its low-lying position in relation to the surrounding mountainous terrain—the antenna was 23 meters (75.5 feet) ''below'' average terrain—the 6,000 watt Class A signal barely reached beyond the valley. Forks, Washington
Forks, also previously known as the unincorporated town of Quillayute, is a city in southwest Clallam County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,335 at the 2020 census. It is named after the forks in the nearby Quillayute, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Sol Duc rivers. For many years, the city's economy was fueled by the local timber industry. More recently it has drawn tourism related to the novel series ''Twilight'' and films of the same name, set in Forks. With recent declines in the timber industry, Forks has relied on the nearby Clallam Bay Corrections Center and Olympic Corrections Center as sources of jobs. Sappho, Washington
Sappho is an unincorporated community in Clallam County, Washington, United States. The town is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 101 and State Route 113, in a largely forested area, and features parks and recreational facilities. Sappho is a former logging area. The town was founded by Martin Van Buren Lamoreux, who left St. John, Kansas in 1889 with 8 of his 10 children, his second wife and her 3 children from a prior marriage. Arriving in Seattle, some of the party settled on Lake Union, but Lamoreux, thinking that land worthless, set out for the Olympic Peninsula. Traveling by steamer from Seattle, they landed at an Indian settlement called Pysht on the Strait of Juan de Fuca and hiked inland 20 miles through the rainforest to their claim.
