KAOX (107.9 FM) is a news/ talk formatted radio station licensed to Shelley, Idaho. Known as "NewsTalk 107.9", the station is owned by Sandhill Media Group. Overview KAOX formerly broadcast from a tower located northeast of Kemmerer, and with its 13,500 watt signal, covered much of southwestern Wyoming. Shelley is a city in Bingham County, Idaho. The population was 4,409 at the 2010 census. The mascot for the city's high school is a Russet Burbank potato that wears a crown, robe and scepter. Since 1927 Shelley has been home to the "Idaho Annual Spud Day", which is celebrated on the 3rd Saturday of September. Evanston, Wyoming
Evanston is a city in and the county seat of Uinta County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 12,359 at the 2010 census. It is located near the border with Utah. History Evanston was named after James A. Evans, a civil engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. Another source maintains it is named for John Evans, second Governor of the Territory of Colorado. The town was founded during the construction of the First transcontinental railroad. The railroad arrived in the area in November 1868, and Harvey Booth opened a saloon/restaurant in a tent near what is now Front Street. KDWY
KDWY is an American FM radio station broadcasting on 105.3 MHz FM and is licensed to Diamondville, Wyoming. It primarily broadcasts a country music format, but occasionally broadcasts local high school football and basketball games from Kemmerer or Diamondville as well. KDWY has a sister station, KMER 940 AM. Signal KDWY broadcasts from a tower located northeast of Kemmerer, and with its 16,000 watt signal, covers much of southwestern Wyoming. KDWY can also be heard in parts of northern Utah and southeastern Idaho, with a good radio, or a car stereo.
