KAMT-LP, UHF analog channel 50, was a low-powered TeleFutura- affiliated television station licensed to Amarillo, Texas, United States. The station was owned by Drewry Communications. History The station was founded in 2005. On June 25, 2008, original owner Equity Media Holdings disclosed that it was selling KAMT to Luken Communications, LLC. Equity Media Holdings has been in chapter 11 bankruptcy since December 2008 and offers by Luken Communications to acquire Equity-owned stations in six markets have since been withdrawn. KEYU (channel 31) is a television station licensed to Borger, Texas, United States, serving the Amarillo area as an affiliate of the Spanish-language Telemundo network. It is owned by Gray Television alongside CBS affiliate KFDA-TV (channel 10). The two stations share studios on Broadway Drive (just south of West Cherry Avenue) in northern Amarillo; KEYU's transmitter is located on Dumas Drive (US 87-287) and Reclamation Plant Road in rural unincorporated Potter County. Despite its full-power status, the station's broadcasting radius does not reach the entire Amarillo market (covering a area, compared to KFDA's signal contour). The Drewry Communications Group was a media company based in Lawton, Oklahoma, wholly owned and operated by the Drewry family. The company was run by Robert Drewry (as the company's president), Bill Drewry (as its chief executive officer), and Larry Patton (as general manager). Robert and Bill are the sons of late patriarch Ransom H. Drewry. Equity Media Holdings Corporation was a broadcasting company based in Little Rock, Arkansas that owned and operated television stations across the United States.
