Kyonggongop Sports Club
Kyŏnggongopsong Sports Club (''Kyŏnggong'ŏpsŏng'', lit. Ministry of Light Industry Sports Club) is a North Korean football club affiliated with the North Korean , playing in the DPR Korea Premier Football League at the 10,000 capacity City Stadium in P'yŏngyang. History Their best known finish in the National Championships thus far is 8th, in the 2006 season, however they have had other successes, including winning the Republican Championship in 2009, having defeated Amrokkang 1–0 in the final, and a second-place finish in the 2015 edition of the Osandŏk Prize. 2016 Hwaebul Cup
The 2016 Hwaebul Cup was the fourth edition of the Hwaebul Cup (홰불, ''Torch'') celebrating North Korea's Youth Day. The competition was held between 27 July and 28 August 2016, with all matches played at the Sŏsan Stadium in P'yŏngyang. The competition was arranged in two phases, a group stage followed by a single-elimination play-off semi-finals, and a single-game final. April 25 won the title for the fourth straight time. The 2015 Hwaebul Cup was the third edition of the Hwaebul Cup (홰불, ''Torch'') celebrating North Korea's Youth Day. The competition was held between 27 July and 28 August 2013, with all matches played at the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in P'yŏngyang. The competition was arranged in two phases, a group stage followed by a single-elimination play-off semi-finals, and a single-game final. The Hwaebul Cup (홰불, ''Torch'') is an annual association football competition in men's domestic football in North Korea, organised by the DPR Korea Football Association. The competition is held for Youth Day, 28 August, one of North Korea's major holidays. Competition format Beginning in July or August, the competition proceeds in two stages. The first stage consists of the teams divided into two groups playing in a single round-robin basis, with the winner and second-place team of each group advancing to the knockout stage consisting of two semi-final matches and a final, which is played on 28 August of each year. Choe Myong-ho (Chosŏn'gŭl: 최명호, born 3 July 1988) is a North Korean footballer who currently plays for Visakha in the Cambodian Premier League. Career Born in Pyongyang, Choe was one of the first native North Koreans to join a club abroad, Krylia Sovetov Samara of the Russian Premier League and the first to play in Russia. He was selected as the 2005 AFC Youth Player of the Year. Before moving to Russia, Choe Myong-ho had played for the Ministry of Light Industry team ( Kyonggongop) in the DPR Korea League of his native country.
